Thanksgiving Cooking: Flax Crackers

The first recipe I am going to start with is the flax crackers. The reason being is they require dehydrating and that takes time. Making them is the easy part, but the prep and dehydrating is the work. If you plan on making them for thanksgiving, start TONIGHT! The reason being is there is soaking involved and that takes time before as well. To make about 60 crackers, you will need...

2 cups flaxseeds
1/4 cup soya sauce
1 tsp mustard
1/3 cup mustard seeds
1/3 cup maple syrup
1 tbsp apple butter (optional) or apple sauce

Soak the flax seeds over night in water. The next morning, you will notice that they have almost formed a jell. That is okay! Just give it a mix and it will be fine. Add in your ingredients and spread on four dehydrator non-stick sheets. Dehydrate at 105 degrees for 4 hours.
After, take them out and flip them over. Cut them into the size you want them to be and slide them back into the dehydrator for another 2-3 hours, or until the top  is crunchy and not wet. Serve with 'cheese' or some of the other recipes I will share:)

Feedback is always welcomed,
Julia
